A worldwide provider of biological and in vitro products to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, is currently seeking a Product Manager in the NY area to join their growing organization.

This organization specializes in control and disease state specimens which are used in drug discovery, compound development, clinical and research diagnostics enabling biomedical researchers to better understand the pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism of newly discovered compounds and the effects on disease processes.

The Product Manager (PM) will manage a product portfolio of select biospecimen products. The PM, working with business unit colleagues and Director of Marketing, develops and implements a plan to meet global revenue, pricing and volume objectives for the defined portfolio. The PM, along with business unit colleagues, develops a multi-year Product Roadmap with clearly defined product introductions and rationalizations to assure a market leading portfolio that meets customer needs. The PM must possess, and continually develop, an understanding of customer needs and requirements, and the dynamics of the defined market space.

Specific Responsibilities:

Execute and deliver on the commercial strategy for defined product portfolio.
Be the lead marketing representative driving product launches to ensure product specifications are in-line with market requirements, and drive product launches as scheduled.
Lead product life cycle management, including managing all existing products pricing and quality/OTD, continuously improving position & profitability of current products, and Rationalization of Product Line/Pricing to drive portfolio profitability.
Serve as key liaison with operations, procurement, manufacturing, sales, and global marketing team for assigned product(s).
Actively tracks and analyzes global sales growth, gross margins, supply issues, quality issues, (...) for the defined business.
Represent the voice of the customer inside the organization and make recommendations for new features or improved solutions for the product line
Work closely with the Marcom team to develop and implement marketing programs to generate new sales leads
Gather competitive intelligence to maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape to inform strategic and tactical product plans
Develop and manage product line-specific content such as sales tools, collateral materials, scientific publications, trade exhibits, and web site content
Liaise with sales as a technical advisor for supported products and provide marketing and/or technical support at conventions user's meetings, workshops, and other specific marketing functions
Professional experience and skills

Bachelor's degree in related field
3-5 years' experience of marketing within the life science industry
Demonstrated excellence in both written and oral communication skills
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple, complex projects in varying stages of development under time pressure with minimal supervision
Proficient in programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) and sales channels is preferred
Strong collaboration, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel (up to 10%) as necessary, including occasional overnight business trips
