Your Impact

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Communications will lead the communications strategy and execution-including public relations, media campaigns, digital presence, community engagement and overall brand awareness-to consistently articulate Aspiranet's mission to all external and internal stakeholders. As a member of the senior leadership team, this individual will partner with Division Directors and the CEO on a variety of strategic initiatives, including the development and execution of targeted campaigns for engaging donors, resource families, and future employees, in order to increase their affinity with Aspiranet.

Your Skills and Duties

In partnership with senior leaders, collaborate on the creation of a comprehensive internal and external communications strategy that will enable Aspiranet to maximize our community awareness and social impact through key initiatives.
Serve as a communications "visionary," consistently bringing an understanding of communications trends, best practices and technologies and how these might be best utilized given our organizational goals and resources.
Lead and mentor our team of dedicated communications professionals to help them achieve success in their roles; work with individual team members to support their professional development goals; be an advocate for the communications team, and advocate for cutting-edge resources
Oversee the Aspiranet brand execution, internally and externally, consistent with the brand guidelines
Collaborate with program staff to nurture development of impact stories and encourage sharing of stories with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and execute a staged engagement strategy for donors, resource families, and future employees in order to increase their affinity with Aspiranet.

Education and Work Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, English, Public Administration, or related field
Minimum of 10+ years of communications and marketing experience including employee supervision; familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures; experience in nonprofit communications and fund development is a plus
Experience retaining brand standards and disseminating branding across an organization
Knowledge of developing marketing messaging campaigns and overseeing design and production of marketing materials with portfolio examples
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with proven success tailoring messages to a variety of audiences, particularly in translating complex policy and advocacy work to a diverse range of stakeholders.
Ability to develop and enhance strong communications standards, workflows and branding guidelines while disseminating content across multiple mediums, including social media, newsletters, and more.
Experience in developing media placement and public relations strategies
Understanding of digital marketing principles including lead generation and conversion, marketing automation platforms, CRM, social media, search
Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a licensed Community Care Facility; (...) Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index Clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid California Driver's License and clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Report) if required to drive for this position.
