The Leader of Internal Communications is responsible for the creation and execution of annual internal communications plans to support Ratner Companies and all of its Brands. This role is responsible for establishing one voice to foster Associate engagement and to support of the Ratner initiatives.

 

The Leader works collaboratively with Executives and other Business Leaders, and engages with subject matter experts both to ensure alignment to fiscal year objectives and consistency to each unique Brand and its desired reputation. Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Communications/Public Relations required

• Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in a communications environment, with a heavy emphasis on internal communications

• Knowledge and experience with retail and/or service like industries

• Proven track record of successful creation of communications plans and execution, as well as the achievement of measurable results through deliverables and tactics

• Demonstrated success in creating and delivering compassionate communications using emotion and empathy, creating a strong connection to their audience

• Proven ability to segment communications to speak to appropriate audiences in a soft voice that builds Associate loyalty and engagement

• A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects from start to finish

• Strong operational knowledge of digital media, social media, and mobile communications as well as traditional approaches

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively and support multiple clients

• Proven, successful leadership qualities including the ability to communicate with, coach, motivate and develop others

 

Desired Skills and Experience

• Advanced degree in Communications or equivalent work experience

• Previous experience in crisis communications management
