PR Account Executive - Sustainability

We're looking for a creative and passionate communicator driven to use their talents to advance sustainable issues and causes. This position is best fit for entry-level applicants or applicants with a communications background, graduates of a PR or comparable program, and/or an agency internship or comparable work experience.

Candidates must be natural communicators, highly organized, and possess excellent research, verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in sales, marketing coordination and social media is a plus.

 A passion and interest in climate change, renewable energy, sustainability innovation and a healthy environment is essential.   • Assist in overall support for client activities including prep for client meetings, weekly tracking reports of client activities, sector news and follow-up, creating client agendas and writing wrap-up reports monthly or bi-weekly
  • Build media relations skillset - develop media lists for media relations, editorial and speaking calendars; assist in drafting media alerts, news releases and other marketing and media materials as needed
  • Maintain and promote Blue Practice and clients' social media presence across multiple platforms
  • Monitor and report on client media coverage, industry news, and follow client competitor media coverage
  • Assist in implementation of social media and creative campaigns
  • As skills grow candidate may be selected to communicate with media directly, pitch editorial calendar stories and speaking opportunities, build relationships with press and conference organizers
